Bush baby - duathlon ON 28 april 2024
Bush Baby Duathlon, one of our finest family sports events, close to Kampala at a beautiful site (Bush Baby Lodge). We are very happy and proud that they like to host us again! Please make your booking for overnight stay at the campsite or a cottage.
Registration shall be done online prior to the event. On site will cost you an additional 10K UGX (3 USD).
You need to collect your race number (bib) on Saturday afternoon/evening or Sunday morning before 8:00. The race briefing is at 8:15 AM on Sunday morning.

ACCOMMODATION
Bush Baby offers accommodation, both bungalows and tents; you can bring your own tent.
FOOD
You can order your lunch and dinner from Bush Baby. In the registration form you can indicate so that the Resort can anticipate how much they have to prepare.

On Saturday there (27th) there will be a guided group leaving Bukassa (near Muyenga) at 10 AM by boat and take you and your bike to Bule from where it is 1.5 to 2.5 hours ride to Bush Baby. On Sunday 4 PM the boat will bring you back. The boat service will be free of charge for those who have registered as participants before Sunday 21 April noon!! Non-participants or late registries pay 10,000 UGX one way.
PARTICIPANTS
The route is beautiful and requires no special skills though caution for the 2 rocky downhill sections. With extensive rain the route can become quite muddy and slippery. The competition is for mountain bikes only. Gravel bikes can not join for safety reasons. If needed you can rent a mountain bike if you dont have one. Or.. join our Bugoma Forest Festival, where we have a gravel race included in the program.

Duathlon:
International individual: 110 000 UGX
Ugandan individual: 70 000 UGX
International team: 150 000 UGX
Ugandan team: 90 000 UGX
Kids: 50 000 UGX
Kids team: 70 000 UGX
Local participants who can not afford the fee by any chance, will be sponsored by the organisation.
Included in the price are water along the trail, fruits and. breakfast!!!
For those who register before Sunday 21 April, we will have an event T-shirt. Otherwise you can buy one for 30K each.
If you register at the event, we charge you 10K extra per registration.
